Legno Bastone Wide Plank Flooring is a producer of exceptionally wooden floors of great quality. The flooring is from 100% genuine European materials.

It is recommended right from the brand to have the floor installed by a professional installer to end up satisfied with the final look of the flooring. The guidance is provided for the installation

It is strongly not supported to apply an adhesive or any kind of tape to the wooden surface.

The installer should first check the moisture of the subfloor. It is to be mentioned that the moisture content of the subfloor should not be above 3.5% in the case of cement screeds, and 0.5% for anhydrite screeds. In case the cement screed is too high, it should be left to dry or one can use a liquid DPM.

The optimum humidity for the room climate is 40-60%, and the temperature should not be beyond 64 degrees for at least a week before the installation and after that.

Before the installation, it is required to check if the subfloor is level, dry and clean. Anything remained that may cause unevenness to the floor should be removed by the installer.

Each board of the floor should be inspected by the installer in the daylight in order to avoid all the faulty or damaged ones. It is also essential to blend planks from different packs to find the balance between all the shades and patterns.

There are several installation methods, including glue down installation, floating installation, and nail down installation.

Glue down installation supposes the use of water low solvent based adhesive of low quality, making use of a trowel spread rate according to the adhesive manufacture specification. It is to be ensured that the whole plank is in contact with the glue. Sometimes it may be necessary to put weights on the flooring boards, which are to ensure full contact with the subfloor.

Floating installation is not usually guaranteed by the brand for solid flooring. A good quality underlay with a moisture barrier should be underneath the floating floor. All the joints are to be sealed with a tape. The polyethylene and the underlay should cover the full height of the boards up and behind.

Nail down installation can be an option for Marine Plywood. The board thickness should be about 20 mm.
